The Grass Gypsys are an independent, acoustic fusion band from Boston with a signature sound fueled by the power of two. Husband and wife musical duo, Justin and Colleen Kleya, blend styles from America’s roots music: Folk, Jazz, Rock n’ Roll, and Blues; into their catalog of original music and cover songs. They have been compared to Tuck & Patti & Nora Jones, Colleen’s rich and charismatic vocals and Justin’s expressive, finger-style acoustic guitar playing is a treat for any audience. Coffeehouses, Festivals, Cafe’s, House Concerts & Bars: The Grass Gypsys are your traveling troubadours of old, driving town to town, sharing stories of their adventures, the places they’ve visited, people they’ve met, and translating their insights through in their music’s content.
The Grass Gypsys got their start in Boston, MA in 2005 and have been touring across the United States since 2006, playing over 200 shows in 2008 alone. They have recorded two full-length, self-released albums: “Legend’s, Myth’s, & Fairytales” (2006) & “Lesson’s From Eden” (2008), and are in the process of recording their third album and planning for their fourth cross-country tour.

LoriDiamond.net
Originally from the Boston area, Lori is a veteran pianist, singer/songwriter. Throughout the nineties, she was playing keys and singing harmonies for the Boston-based bands, Bee Charmers(acoustic pop/rock) and Upper Level Garage(Motown/blues). Since the release of her solo CD, Bound, in 2003, Lori has spent the better part of this decade performing as a soloist in the New England area. Her musical contributions can also be found on the CDs of various local artists.
Lori has been described as a cross between Joni Mitchell, Aimee Mann and Alicia Keys. With her soulful vocals, thoughtful, insightful lyrics and lush piano work, she has all the ingredients for creating beautiful music. While Adult Contemporary may be the closest way to label her sound, Lori's style is the result of Folk, Pop, Jazz, R&B and Acoustic, all merging as one.
Her newest CD, 'Mystery' was released in February 2009. This album is piano based, with songs of love, loss, gratitude and other facets of the human experience.

Live music and Breakfast Buffet by the Sea, North of Boston

***SUNDAY MORNING LIVE*** JUNE 14th*** features CHARLIE IMES (on tour promoting his CD "On An Island")
Charlie Imes (www.crimesofmusic.com) casts himself in the mold of a latter day Jimmy Buffet as he sings with a breezy and easy baritone.
His friend and extraordinary guitarist (and singer-songwriter) "Reverend Stickman" (Mark Schmitt) will be joining Charlie at the Seaward Inn.
Charlie Imes is a San Diego based singer/songwriter who is mostly known for his sun-drenched, beachside music which incorporates elements of folk, pop, jazz & just about any other musical genre that suits the songs.
Charlie grew up in Torrance and Rodondo Beach, in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. He started playing in rock bands and hanging out on the Sunset Strip, but soon realized that his voice was meant for a more laid-back musical message. For years he played coffee houses & small clubs, but mostly he played around campfires and at the beach for the pure joy of playing. At the urging of friends & supporters, he finally recorded a collection of his songs in 2008, and has been bringing the beach to stages ever since.
As comfortable as your favorite-shirts and shorts, the warm feel of his debut album, "On An Island", is perfect to conjure images of those long summer days at the beach. An engaging and humorous performer, Charlie's songs are sunny weather for your ears.
